I was in the government sector as a leader, they held weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings. They were effective however, some did not start on time. The Dept head dominated the meetings, employees felt they didn’t have a voice even when he went “round robin” some of the issues did not get solved or addressed. The quarterly meetings were basically upper management giving out rewards, retirement placks and statistics. We had an aging dept avg age was 57yrs. Lastly, upper mgt., their boss will have a one on one with them and have an open door policy for us. I learned from that and created a strategic plan for meetings and it almost mirrors what you have said. I’m glad you did this video, I will go back and add few things I was missing, thank you Mr Lok!
